MSUK Super K-X Round 1 29–30 March | Dunkeswell Raceway After what felt like an endless run of wet and wild weekends in the Blackdown Hills, the forecast for Round 1 of the DKC Spring Championship is finally offering something more favourable – and it couldn’t come at a better time. With brighter skies on the horizon, excitement is building for the opening weekend of MSUK Super K-X action at Dunkeswell Raceway. This isn’t just any race weekend – it’s the start of something special. The MSUK Super K-X format is a new and exciting evolution in UK karting, combining the intensity of multiple race heats with the structure and sanctioning of Motorsport UK. Think fast-paced, no-nonsense sprint racing across a packed schedule, where consistency across heats is key to making it to the Super Final. It’s a format designed to test both driver skill and team strategy, and with DKC’s reputation for attracting some seriously quick talent, Round 1 is set to be a cracker. There’s already a strong entry list shaping up across the classes, with familiar faces returning to kick off their 2025 campaigns – and a few new names looking to make their mark. The two-day format means more track time, more battles, and more chances for standout moments – perfect conditions for storytelling through the lens. On the photography front, I’ll be back trackside with a new bit of kit to try out – a recently added lens that I’m excited to put through its paces. With any luck, the improved light and longer sessions will give me a great chance to experiment with different angles and get creative with how I capture the energy and colour of the weekend.
